Tomtom route planner

Thursday, 6am in UK first time using App today, weekly drive to the office, discovered the issue. I know how to drive there, just useful for traffic and speed cameras.
Everything gone.
Now seen this discussion.

Backups and disaster recovery should be standard. So why is this still going on?

Have they been hacked / ransomware on their servers with this data; maybe they are not going public on it? 🤔

Taking far too long to restore/resolve.

The same problem here: the logon works correctly, but all my favorits, even home or work, are gone! I tryed in android, iOS and Windows.

Hi guys just an update. I have spoken to TomTom who are trying to fix the issue they have said once fixed all favourites will be saved except any added within the last 7 days. Hope this puts your minds to rest

All my points have been synced with the MyDrive EU app from Android. I had to manually set up only my home and work in navigation.

So: My locally sealed phone data can already be seen in Navi.

plan.tomtom.com also synchronized data with MyDrive EU.

But: I had my points in the app on my phone all the time (backup?), so there was a lot to play the data from.

Whether there was a loss of data stored in the cloud, I don't know. I also don't want to know if they'll come back or not.

Just had a map update sent to my satnav hoped that was a fix but apparently not still no favourites this is now getting stupid and no official

I hope we can find all our old favorites again?

To test it, I added a favorite from the planner, and it was successfully added as one of my favorite places.
I think at the very least we could expect tomtom to backup these up as they conveniently do not provide a simple means for the users to. All in all a very bad user experience. Maybe tomtom could send all registered users a customer suggestion form. So if the myplaces are lost that is extremely poor system management. Do tomtom respond on this forum or is that too much to expect ?

TomTom must make it possible to save our favorites on our own storage media
It's possible to save our data; the file is converted to JSON.

The problem is, it's not really usable, or it needs to be converted to an OV2 file.

What I do is retrieve the saved addresses and then save them again as favorites.

This isn't very practical when you have a lot of favorites.

I hope they didn't get hacked because that would be a serious problem. I don't want my data dumped on the internet

Hallelujah!!! 🙌 🙏

I've turned off cloud syncing until I see all my favourites back in the planner - as people were reporting newly added poi's going missing anyway and well I'm still working in the meantime so I need the app.

I don't exactly get how it all works and what happened that the issue appear, so I have a question, sorry if it sounds stupid: if I now open the app to simply use it to navigate, while the issue still persist, am I risking overwriting my Favs in such a way that they will be permanently gone as soon as all goes back to normal? Should I switch to different app for that time?

By the way... serious fail, no info, no "emergency team" working on such issues outside standard office hours (as I assumed from one of the earlier posts)... and all that in an app which is paid. Crazy and a serious breakdown of trust.

The online route planner is no longer working.

You can open the GO Expert app and plan a route without any problems.

three damn times I have lost all locations today, home work family addresses all gone every time I open the app on android!!!

Some "progress" has happened. Routes were visible before, but now they've disappeared. My own places are still not visible.
