I don't know what's going on with the forum connection.
I haven't been able to log in since 10 a.m.—until just now.

Not the same error but I, too, could not log in at 5 am ET. It took till 11 am ET for the situation to be resolved. I did notify the administrator about it at 6 am or so. I'll send you his email address in a pm for future reference.
