Tomtom route planner

Nope, not yet for me. Same as before, routes but no places on the planner; places but no routes on the Go Expert app.

There is no such option in MyDrive for iOS.
TomTom Go Expert app for iOS, go to Menu, TomTom Services, it’s the second option there.

It was turned off for me.

But plan.tomtom.com has lost all my places (not returned yet) so as soon as I toggled MyDrive sync to on, I lost the half a dozen of places I put back in to the app. I’ve had to re-add them again after enabling that on.

Still waiting on this to be fixed. So glad I wasn’t on any trips that required a large number of my saved places.

This may be of help to people who have some places they need still stored in "Recent Destinations". I don't know how recent "Recent" is, but although my many "My Places" are gone, if on the TomTom GO Expert app, I go to Menu > Recent Destinations, at least three months of previously used My Places are still there. Then they can be selected, then "Add to My Places", and they go back as a place in "My Places". Don't know how long they will stay there, but they are there for the moment.

My recent lists are cleared too.
That's strange. About 15 of my disappeared "My Places" that I have used as far back as February are in the Recent Destinations list. But since this saga started, if I add a new place and save it, then drive to the place, the navigation works OK, but it doesn't add to the Recent list. And then, on the following day that place has gone from the My Places list.

Yeah, that is for Go Expert app.

I use a GO Expert device and MyDrive app.

Urgently provide users with the ability to restore their saved points from the OV2 file backup that they created previously!!!
Users should not be held hostage by the reliability of your unreliable solutions.

All my Favorites and routes have been restored on my Go Superior and IPhone, including a route and favorite i created 5 minutes ago in Plan. Yippee.

Although when i go to France next month, I will be taking my old GO 6200 as a backup, as that device is not connected to the internet, and didn't loose any of my details when all this happened.

You must be the only one who has recovered your favorites and routes.

Anyone know if you can save my places in the UK yet? Don’t want to start adding them all unless it’s working 100%

I looked and none of my places have returned
So you need to save them somewhere else apart from on TomTom go expert, I use the truck version and have the app on my iPhone and use a car play screen. All works perfect apart from loosing my places

So previously I have just saved my places on the TomTom go and always been fine and never lost any until couple of weeks ago when they all just disappeared, I saved a few again and they went
Someone at TomTom said go to plan.tomtom to see if what you saved was their but nothing and I’ve never saved any my places that way
Once I know the bug has been fixed I will save them the way I have always done and see if they save ok
Thanks for help

For a company that relies on one product (navigation) either they have been grossly incompetent in neglecting a reliable back up by cutting corners or the cause is more than they admit. If they have been hacked or if it is ransomware, they must be the perfect target, the sooner they admit it the more forgiving their customers will be. Plus they are still using the word temporary and saying some customers are having problems, both stretching the truth. If they continue to handle this badly it could be the end of them.
