Start 60 loss of "connection"

Start 60
When I am driving, suddenly the map disappears and it goes to the previous screen. (The voice instructions, by the way, are not lost.) So, it is not a loss of connection as such, but the "map" view is gone and I need to press the " back" button to get the proper "map" screen on again. This is now happening more and more frequently and it is becoming a real problem.
Please help.
 
Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds
 
I hope we're not seeing the advent of new bezel problems (ala the GO 630) here! Then again, the OP's town (I checked) has only been having highs of about 7ºC lately, so it would be hard to attribute it to heat.
 
It seems to be a problem with the touch screen and a "gap" between the screen and the frame. I was told, on previous occasion that it was a common com[laint and I was advised to use a business card inserted between the screen and frame in order to kind of "clean" the gap and so improve the connection?? It did help a tiny little bit at the time (but certainly NOT significantly shoud I say!!!) . So, I am thinking of buying a new set, but Iwant to be 100 % sure , I will not have the same problem again with a new model.
