iPod connect ?s

Hi All, I got an "authentic" TomTom iPod cable to connect my iPod to my Tomtom 910 ... but when I connect the two together the ipod is freezing up and the screen on the TomTom does not advance past it asking me to connect to the iPod ... I am doing this in the house without a GPS signal would that make a difference to it? If not, then what am I doing wrong?

Have you got the power lead plugged in and switched on while trying this as the x10 mount contains certain electronics, also remember not all iPOD will work with the TomTom, which exact model have you got - Mike
