One XL charging /battery question

This might sound like a stupid question. But when tomtom One Xl is connected to a charger/usb charger - does it have to be turned on to accept a charge?

How long should it take to Charge up? And how long should the battery life be?

It'll still get a charge with the power off. Actually, the 'power off' mode really isn't; it's more like a hibernate mode.

Hard to answer how long it'll take to charge. Factors such as the power of the usb port, whether it's a 2.0 or 1.1 port, etc. But out of the box, Tom Tom recommends a 2-4 hr charge, so there you go.

Also, battery life will vary depending on what you do. If you use BT to check for Traffic or as a hands-free device, etc., etc., then battery life will be much shorter than if you only use it for GPS.
