Battery Charging

How can I stop my Tom Tom from flashing up on my screen ‘Battery Charging’ when connected to my car when driving? So annoying and distracting.

That's a sign of trouble, perhaps.

Normally, when you connect the device to the car or computer, you'll see the 'battery charging' appear once. And once only.

If it keeps flashing, it may be an indication that there is a loose connection somewhere, either the usb cable to the unit or at the car charger end of things.

Do you also see a battery symbol intermittently on your screen when supposedly connected to the car charger?

Can't say I have seen it. I know it goes away once connected to the car. So are you saying it could be a doggy plug that goes into the cigarete lighter?

It may be if you see the 'charging' repeatedly during a trip...........
