GPS with a backup camera

What I would really like to have is a good GPS unit with a built-in wireless backup camera that mounts to the rear license plate.
My car has a huge blind spot in the back and it would be great to have a backup camera so that I can see what I'm backing into. You can buy an after-market camera for ~$100, but then I would have another display unit in my car.
There are a couple of combo models on the market, but they seem to be backup cameras that have a basic GPS unit. Since I see the GPS as the primary device -- I want a good GPS unit, and with the camera as the secondary device.

Your least expensive option might be a Garmin 5000. Recently discontinued (but still supported and available), it offers a 5" screen with AV input. The camera itself would be a separate purchase.

A new market?

Given that the future market for PNDs may be reduced due to the GPS avaialbility in Smartphones - perhaps the mainstream PND manufacturers should look at adding backup cameras and other enhancements to help diverisify their market appeal.
