Motorcycle GPS Newbie

Hello - newbie here. I have rode motorcycles for some 50+ years now and never bothered to have a GPS. Recently bought a BMW R1200R Sport with a Garmin 450 and now I am exploring the world of GPS's. I know very little about them and its quite confusing to read all the various reviews/opinions - and come up with useful information. Hopefully this forum will help - cheers from the Great Pacific Northwest!

This forum is TomTom specific but I am sure some of the readers can help you with your Garmin.
