What do they do to "refurbish"

What do the factory do to refurbish a unit? Any reason not to buy, as there are some good prices on them?

Reburbished units normally have whatever issues that caused the return of the unit to be fixed and restore the units to original factory settings.

Thre are good deals on them but be aware that refurbs in North america do not come with the latest map guarantee. Also, the warranty on them is 6 months, not the normal year.
