GO 2535 - Does hard reset remove map?

I've been having troubles receiving traffic. A full factory reset (which keeps POIs and map) once fixed but no longer does. I'd like to try a hard reset (holding down the power button for a very long time), but I don't want to lose my map. (Map updates are no longer available for my device.)

Does anyone know for sure if a hard reset removes or retains the map file?

No, a hard reset does not delete the map file.
