Tomtom XL Live (UK Model) Reset Issue

Hi I have just opened brand new box XXL SAT NAV IQ Routes 5" Screen Model from IDEAL WORLD Shopping Channel ( Bought DEC 2010 for my Birthday by wife ) guess what ? Unit when switched on Freezes at Start up on TOMTOM LOGO on Grey Background and reset
does not do anything to help ! This is a very common fault with this unit what is best fix please anyone ? Thanks !Phillip

I realise this thread hasn't been updated for a while, but I noticed your Navcore was v9.058. My XL Live IQ Routes has recently updated to that and it randomly reboots. And you MUST have noticed how un-responsive keyboard inputs are?
Well, I rolled back to v8.419 and voila... no reboots (so far anyway) AND every key press responds instantly.
Conclusion? Navcore 9.058 is BAD and in fact I have noticed various forums have come to the same conclusion.
