I just noticed that a new Tomtom model has arrived on the FCC website.
It has dual-band (850/1900) GPRS, plus supports bluetooth.
No pictures are presently available, but according to the label file it appears shaped like the VIA. However, there are two labels for this model: "VIA LIVE" and "GO 1535 LIVE". So perhaps two flavors of the device will be released.
