TomTom Go 510 Not Recognizing SDHC Card

Does anyone know the steps required to get a TomTom Go 510 to recognize any SDHC card? I found some steps on the internet but I would rather follow the advice here. Its my understanding that the 510's officially only support SD cards but they can be made to use a SDHC card if you modify something. I would really appreciate any help, thx.

It's my understanding that models such as that can only recognize sdhc cards through hacking the application to get a different bootloader. Certainly not advised, IMO.

What would prompt you to consider such a move?

Well its an older gps unit and I just want to get the most out of it. A bigger SDHC card would allow me to store music, photos, videos using Tomplayer, plus backups of maps, etc.
I am all for hacking it if that helps it to utilize the SDHC card. Something about a bootloader?
