5100 + tomtom home or mydrive?

Existing 720 user. TT home installed.

Connect new 5100. Device seems to think it's connected.
mydrive sort of recognises it... then tells me to install home.
Home doesn't recognise it!

Confused.com? Where are map updates sourced please? Home or mydrive?

Usb connection with / without 'base'.
Via usb card (which 720 was happy with) and direct to computer (windows 7).

Suspect (TT) usb cable? Is it a standard usb mini?

The 5100 requires MyDriveConnect, not Home. Also, make sure you use a different email address for the 5100 than used for any previous device.

It can be a fictitious eMail address as long as it is different.
