If you have plans to use the mp3 player look at the SDHC class 6 cards that are 8GB or 16GB capacity, the device will support up to 32GB but these larger cards are still fairly costly, the 8 and 16GB are not too bad these days.
Everything will be going on the card as the internal memory is shot, so your 2GB card is going to run out of space real quick - Mike

I bought a 2gb since I was not sure if it will work or not. so the north america map and the application 8.351 won't fit in the 2gb card?

The North America map is not supposed to fit on a 2gb card, but if you remove foreign voices it does today. But thinking to the future, Tomtom could enlarge the map or app size since they're not expecting a 2GB max device.

The 2GB Tomtom 720 has a North_America_2GB map that removes POIs to fit.
