Stuck in night mode

My TomTom Go is stuck in night mode. I’ve turned up the night mode to full bright for daytime use, but it is still difficult to see in the daytime. How can I fix this.
 
Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds.

I wonder if this is one of the very old GO models, and it thinks that it is midnight (WNRO issue)?

Can you tell us WHICH of the many possible GO models you have? The first two characters of the serial number will do the job for us as well.
 
Mine is stuck in night mode. First two digits are G4. Drum reset didn’t help

Yours is definitely a Nav4 device, so no issue as mentioned in Post #3.
There's some chance that there's a corruption of the table of user settings.
If you don't have a lot of user content that would need to be replaced, and hence very inconvenient, here's something easy to try:

 
Good to hear.
Bit of a pain to go back and reconfigure preferences, WiFi, etc., but better than a dark screen!
 
Well night has unfortunately fallen again on my TomTom. I really don’t want to reconfigure every week. I’m still within my window to return it. Any other suggestions before I do?
 
Thanks but no luck there. I have night mode turned off and the next day I'm still in night mode. Even the factory resets aren't doing anything to fix it now. Just going to have to return it.
