please help, rider pro problem

when plugged in to charge the light is orange, wont switch on because its not charging, tried different
chargers, no difference, orange light no charge no switch on, please help

Hi dhn, yes have tried 3 different ones, I have been told that the charge light should be green when plugged in?
this one is orange, and its not charging, im hoping this is why it wont turn on,
I have a rider one but that has not got a charge light on it at all,

There may be an issue with the battery on the unit. Check back as more clever people than I may provide better advice.

There's no mention of what colours the charging light uses in the Pro-Rider manual.
Some TomToms use just a green LED for the charging indicator, but others have a multicolour LED - orange while charging and green when fully charged.


So it looks like it is TRYING to charge?

If so, then the battery may be completely shot.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any other way to check the state of the battery other than taking a gamble on buying a new one (from eBay etc.) and seeing if it fixes the problem
