after updating i get this and then it shuts off please help we are leaving for Florida in 2 days and need my GPS working.i tried to factory reset and it just shuts off. i held down the power button for 20 seconds and it plays the drum sound then the picture i posted pops up then shuts off

Perhaps try the recovery mode. See here:
