TomTom Model(s)
4GC01
I've just bought a new Sena headset SMH5 for my Rider 4GC01 and no mater what I do can't get it to pair.Works fine with my Iphone.Any ideas anyone. Thanks.

I assume the Sena supports A2DP profile? Your Rider requires that.

And I'd start by assuring that nothing else (e.g., the phone) is paired to the headset when making the attempt.

Wouldn't really know checked on a few sites all said it was compatible.

Took me all of about 15 sec at Sena... So we know there's not a compatibility issue...

Keep the phone entirely out of the equation and see what happens.
  • BLUETOOTH
    Headset Profile (HSP)
    Hands-Free Profile (HFP)
    Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP)
    Bluetooth 5.1

Had enough now tried every possible combination with no joy.
So have come to the conclusion that the Sena SMH5 is not compatible with the tomtom 4Gc01.

What model of Rider do you have? I checked, normally the Sena SMH5 would be compatible with the old riders and the new riders.

IC is not the serial number of a Rider, normally on a Rider the number starts with K

K3 is an older Rider model
compatible with your Sena SMH5

To connect.
The instructions below show you how to set up this Bluetooth® headset.
If you didn't establish a Bluetooth connection between your Bluetooth headset and your TomTom Rider when you first turned on your TomTom Rider, you can establish one at any time later by following these steps:
1. Turn the headset on or off by following the headset-specific instructions.
2. In the main menu, tap Options.
3. Tap Connect Headset and follow the instructions to establish the connection.
4. Connect your headset to your helmet.

Thanks for all your help but your only repeating what
I've already tried dozens of times.

Yes, but you can also ask TomTom.

What you can try if you haven't already is to make a full backup of your GPS on your computer, then reset the device to factory settings and re-pair it.
