My Tomtom keeps going to sleep mid-route !!

While navigating to a destination, my Tomtom 920 keeps turning itself off, goes black and then tries to restart. Very annoying indeed

Any suggestions on what I might do to solve the problem? . . . thanks !

Is it possible the connector to the cigarette outlet is loose and the battery is low? If so, when the unit loses (car) power, it might shut down and then it senses power again so restarts.

Also, you can try a pin reset on the unit.
