Map rev and file maintenance GO930

Hi.

I am new to the GPS and TomTom world.

I have just purchased (Dec.23.2008) a TT GO 930 and I really like it. The rev displayed is V8.014. I have some questions:

1. How can I determine the rev of my North American map?

2. Has anyone had any success with Google maps and downloading to the GOX30?

3. What is the best way to do maintenance (delete/modify)on old destinations, POI's, and Favs i.e. can it be done on your desktop (XP)?

1. Tap on the lower right corner of the navigating screen, then tap on the "V8.014" button, it will bring up your device info.

Device xxx xxx = your device ID
App 8.xxx (xxxx) OS: xxxxx = your NavCore firmware version and OS version
Memory info
GPS v1.20, Boot xxxx = gps version, bootload version
Map: 'North_America' vxxxxx = your map version
