Intermittent charging tomtom go discover 7

Hi tomtom keeps saying not charging on window magnetic mount. It has a micro usb connection. Changed leads multiple times still intermittent. Bought a new mount this time with usb c connection still intermittent charging..the connection on sat nav itself charges fine. Would it be the 6 copper connection things on back of the tomtom? If I put some solder on them would that help? Tia

Try cleaning them with "Brasso" on a Q-tip

The problem could also stem from the cigarette lighter socket.

Have you tried plugging your GPS directly into a phone charger?
