RDS-TMC Connection Intermittent

I have had a 920T for about 2 months and the traffic receiver works quite well in the Toronto area.

In the last week plugging into the tomtom I only sometimes get the signal that the RDS-TMC is connected. After fidgeting with the connection I sometimes get it back.

Anyone else having this type of trouble?

I've had time where I either have to unplug and then plug it back in or turn the 920 off and back on.

I got a similar problem here too
I got my TomTom 920 T which come with the traffic report
After 2 months of using it
The 920 unit stop recognize the RDS-TMC too
I had contacted the tech support
the give me a couple solutions to me
like reset the unit, update the application
they even send me the new RDS-TMC receiver
but after like 2 months of trying
I finally gave up and ask them to repair it
I sent it is like last week
and they sent me a refurb unit
It works fine now
but I have notice a difference
The serial port that is on my old unit is all metal
and now the one I got back is surround with a black plastic
maybe it is a design problem that they found on the 920 unit

All the information about are my personal experience and my opinion
