GO 300 Boot Loader

I've accidentally placed my TomTom XL SD into my GO300! It said please wait as it upgraded the firmware and now the GO300 won't boot. I've tried using TomTom Home to re-install the software but it still freezes. Removing the SD from the GO300 and then holding down the ON button a diagnostic screen appears the Boot loader is now 5.3026. I have found out it should be 4.86 for the GO300. How can I change it back? Many thanks.

if you have a recent backup format the go 300 sd card and restore a backup or reload the firware 7.162 etc etc...

Tried both no luck. I'm going to try an SD with an old version of the software hoping that it over writes the boot loader.
