Cannot acess North America on 940

Hi I have a 940 and my device has North america maps on device but I am not able to use. can you please help do I have to activate?
 
What happens when you go to Manage Maps-->Switch maps? Does it show the NA map? If so, what happens when you try to select it?

(I'm assumung the maps you have are from the proper source.......meaning TomTom)
