if it is supposed to have 2 gigs then why when i look at my version does it say 64mb (17.2 available)

No, that's the available flash memory, not storage.

Think of your computer. You may have 160 gig storage on a hard drive (equivalent to the 2 gigs on your unit) but 2 gigs of ram (equivalent to the 64 megs on your unit).

yea....i feel dumb been a pc all my life yet simple stupidity im not looking at my gps now but it was ram not storage? is there a way to see how much storage u have left?

Use Explorer. It'll see the storage as an external drive and should show max size and what's left.
