Using FM Transmitter on a 720

I understand that in order to use the radio for instructions, you must have music playing, either through an IPod or MP3. I had neither, and the 1st instruction came through fine, but then the radio just went to static and the remainder of the messages were from the gps. I recently tried a Garmin 755 and this wasn't a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Either play music using the mp3 player or load a silent mp3 track and select that to repeat as it fools the device in to thinking its playing music and lets the Nav instructions go via the FM Tx option - Mike
