Do you encounter any problems when downloading maps if you bought a used TomTom?
I bought one off Ebay and it didn't come with any software or documentaion.
Just the GPS, mount, and car power supply.
I'm just wondering if I plug it into my computer and try to download maps will it tell me I'm not the orignal owner and not let me do anything.

Just download home software and plug it in via USB.

If home says you're not the original owner, call up tomtom customer support and they can fix it for you.

ebay is NOT a registered seller of TT units. As such, some have had a great deal of difficulty with TomTom vis-a-vis LMG, warranty work and others find the units they have bought contain hacked maps.

Others buying on ebay seem to have no problems whatsoever.
