Updating Home?

I am still using version 2.2.0.33 with windows XP for my One XL. Everything works fine apart from no map share updates (which seems to be the norm!)
What I would like to know is it worth updating Home as I have read a few threads that users have had problems?

I haven't found it to be any worse than previous versions. You have to minimize it when you run an update, or it will take forever and a day.
