Update GO 300 Software

Have owned this model forever and very happy with its functionality.

Want to keep software up to date but when I connect to TOM TOM Home if offers to update the existing software but the the TICK is greyed out.

Please advise

Here's a possibility....

TomTom's need to be updated sequentially i.e. sometimes you can't just jump from a very old version to the latest one without going via some of the ones in-between.

Now, when Home 2 came out, it didn't install some of the software versions offered by the old Home 1.
That might be your problem.

Try uninstalling Home 2 and installing Home 1.
You get it from the same page as the Home 2 downloads, but it is a very small insignificant link underneath the main Home 2 download link.

Update the go as far as you can using Home 1 (you may have to do it several times until it doesn't offer any new versions).

Then uninstall it again and reinstall Home 2 (main link) and see if any more updates are offered.
