TomTom IOS App 50% Off

My TomTom IOS App yearly subscription is ending in 10 days time, I had already cancelled my automatic renewal due to it not supporting the ULEZ zones.
I have just had a message via Apple offering me the subscription for 50% off at £9.99, although last year I only paid £12.99.
Just wondering if there are any better Apps available?

If you already have a Tomtom GO subscription, is it a bit strange that you are entitled to a discount?
Normally discounts are for new customers.

They probably offered it, because I had already cancelled the auto renewal.

Even if you have canceled your subscription, you are still considered a customer of the application.
