I keep getting an error message when adding to my places “unable to add more places” has anyone else had this issue?

I use the Android version vs. iOS, but haven't hit that wall before. How many 'My Places' do you have already? I don't know if there is a maximum number - worth checking into.

Quite a few I use it a lot for my job.

I REALLY wish that TomTom would support custom POI files on the phone app the way they used to do on their older model nav devices. It was SO much easier. I'm still lobbying hard for that functionality on both the phone app and the newer Discover/Expert devices, but no joy yet. With that feature, you could even group certain customers into different categories if you liked.

Yes, and found out it is still that way.

We need custom POI!
