TT One won't sustain battery charge

Bought TT One couple of months ago & it doesn't matter how long I charge it for with mains adaptor, battery immediately flat & I always end up having to use TT connected in car to 12V adaptor .Anyone else had this problem? I'm assuming that mains adaptor bought separately working OK as it lights up when plugged in.

Where did you purchase it from, the device is supplied with at least 12 months warranty so I would start with a phone call to TomTom support (if you are UK based the number is 0845 161 0009) as what you describe is a faulty device, although all TomTom devices are intended to be used with the car charger cable which is why they supply it in the box - Mike
