TOMTOM XL Issues with Home

Hey,

NEw to the forum and a new TOMTOM user... I purchased a second hand TOMTOM XL while in the US working... I only use it when I travel.

When I got home I installed TOMTOM Home and tried to connect the device to update the maps.

Initially the TOMTOM couldn;t be reconised by the HOME program...which I eventually fixed but now as soon as it connects... the Home program tries to update the device and starts to search for updates... afetr around 20 seconds the home program stops responding...

Can anybody help?

You are logging in with the same email address you used to register the unit?
