Spark 3 QuickGPSfix issue

After years of hassle-free use, my Spark 3 seems to have lost its QuickGPSfix file overnight. How do I repair this?

I don't think the problem on that thread is the same problem I am having. It sounds like people are getting TTBIN files where they expect GPX files. I don't know what any of that means, but that is not the issue I am having. I have an error message that makes my watch unusable.

I reached out to TomTom on Twitter and they said to do a factory reset, which accomplished nothing except to wipe my watch. It is still presenting this error message when it connects. Has anyone ever had this error before? Is it solvable?
 
QuickGPSfix stopped updating in the desktop app for me as well. The Sports mobile app on my iPhone is still updating it.
