TomTom Model(s)
Via1415M
Hi;
Whenever I go to update my tomtom Via 1415/M it gives me the lists of updates that are available including the QuickGPSfix...however, it wont let me checkmark it or highlight it in order for it to be installed or added on my tomtom and I cannot fir the life of me figure out why...I'm starting to do long haul trucking so my GPS is my lifeline and likes to take forever to reach a signal more often than not...can somebody please PLEASE help my before I go absolutely INSANE.. any advise would be very much appreciated...
Sincerely; Miss Going out of her mind

Is, in fact, the little box to the right of the gpsfix already checked (but not in green)? If so, might mean it should automatically get installed when you do your updates.

Yea...it is ...but it's been like that from the get go...I've never been able to install it n I've been seeing it there for quite awhile now...cant figure it out for the life of me

Even if I uncheck everything that Quickfix still remains checked off but not lit up or highlighted at all...its like it's just dormant or something...idk...very frustrating tho...that's for sure

You might try support and see if they can clear the download from their end. Might need 2nd level to try to do it:

(I removed your other thread. Not a good idea to basically report the same thing twice)

Yea...lol...thx...didnt realize I did that

Let's hope you are not as unlucky as I am with my GO Live 1535 where TomTom cannot delete a rogue QuickGPSfix
which stopped me from uploading anything else.
It goes through the procedure and ends with "Something has gone wrong:.

Note, that greyed check mark cannot be bypassed it must be executed before the next job.

What do u mean by "bypassed"? Does it have anything to do with that emphreg file or whatever it's called I keep hearing about? Lol...I been jyst reading that sometimes deleting that folder on ur PC fixes the problem

No, deleting the ephem folder is only possible on earlier models where the user had access to the file system on the device using Windows File Manager or Finder on a Mac. For your model (known as a Nav 3 model) and later, the user no longer can access the contents of the device.
