SD card..how to...

As an experienced computer user, I am perplexed with my brand new spanking TomTom ONE XL, which works just fine and menus are very intuitive.
BUT...How do you remove the SD card? It baffles me even though I have installed and programmed numerous computer networks. Is there a trick to removing the card?

On my ONE v2 you just press the SD card in to release the card.

tried doing that but to no avail.
push in withe small screwdriver or maybe push and lift???

When you inserted the SD card did you hear a click sound?

I never inserted it. It is a new TomTom ONE XL and has the SD card installed. The card is fine and all works well but I wanted to insert another SD card (which I happen to have) and restore data from computer to the new card so that when traveling I have a (spare) backup card.

I'm thinking the card in the slot isn't actually an SD card but a place holder. As I understand the XL uses the internal memory out of the box.

Voila. You are correct. No SD card but a dummy card.
