Tomtom sd card deleted

hy guys. In atemp to expand the memory of my tomtom , i replaced the card with a 16gb card. but before i placed the new one in my tomtom go 50 a deleted the old one (data can not be recovered) and now my go50 is displaying NO MAPS AVAILABLE. REINSTALL A MAP YOU ALREADY OWN.
but if i connect tu my drive the map i have is 6,5 gb and the total memory, if i delete everything is 6,2. so i cant install a new map and i cant acces the menu on the device to install the new sd card. please help

Do this:

1. Register (it's free) at TomTom's OFFICIAL user support forum here: https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/discussions

2. Log into this thread and request a small map to be added to your account by the administrator there, VikramK. https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/d...-a-smaller-map-due-to-a-sdcard-failure#latest

3. Once a smaller map is added to your device's internal memory, you should be able to add the 16 gb card to the device for the larger map.
