On carrying out the usual map update for my Carminat things went very wrong. I have just been told that the SIM card has been deactivated and that this is irreversible. Apparently this means that 'Live Services' are now permanently denied to me. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I'm not familiar with the 'life' of SIM card activations for the Carminat, but it's certainly not irreversible. Whether or not the SIM information will allow correct registration with the carrier is something that TomTom controls.

I'd be on the phone to tech support first thing Monday morning.

I have Carminat TomTom live with "deactivated" sim card for last 9 years. I still bought LIVE services last year. They didn't activate though I didn't ask Tomtom to refund. and... In around 3 months my sim card is active again, services are working and I got traffic and weather back :)
