Screen got wet : (

I recently got screen portion of Tom Tom wet with coffee. Long story short had in my lunch box and forgot had coffee in thermos, which spilled. It works, comes on, but touch screen is not accurate now. Has discoloration on screen. Is there a way to remove screen and clean liquid (Now) dried liquid between glasses???

The touchscreen "digitiser" and the LCD screen are two separate things taped together and you can buy them on eBay as spare parts separately or together as a complete assembly

If you only buy the digitiser, then to replace the old one you have to split the two parts along the taped seam with a craft knife.

So it is very possible that's where your liquid has got in.

We normally suggest people replace the entire screen assembly as it's a lot easier, but there was a forum topic recently from someone who did the "split" and he said it wasn't TOO scary.
