Hi

OJ = Tomtom Bridge;?

What exactly happens when you touch the screen?

If it's a screen problem search for a screen on the web to change it.

Is your battery fully charged?

To try
Press the on/off button until you hear the sound of the drum and the device restarts.

Are you sure you didn't run out of battery due to lack of charge? An OJ battery is about done by now.
Can you describe in any additional detail what "it just stoped" means? The screen went black with no warning? Were you watching it when this happened?

Meanwhile:
For the odd case that it's just locked up with a true hard reset needed (and that's rare on an OJ), take a Torx to the small screw in the cover in the center of the right side rear of the device. Pull off that cover. Remove and disconnect the battery. That's a lot faster than waiting for a charged battery to discharge. Wait 15 seconds. Reconnect and replace cover.

No its still has half charge left the screen is working i can see everything it turns on normaly but it doesnt react to touch it works normaly it still talks and everything but it doesnt react to anything when i touch it

Sadly, I don't have such tools in my truck, and I am at least a few days from home, so I will just let it run out of battery. What is the procedure after it runs out of battery? Do I just wait 15 seconds and put it to charge?

Yes, I did that, but it just turns on normally. Nothing new opens on the menu, and I can't do anything after that.

Would still try the suggestions in post #4 and #5. If that doesn't get it, you're probably looking for a replacement touch screen, and there aren't nearly as many available for a Bridge device as there are for consumer units.

You'll have to hold the power button down for 20 seconds or so before the TomTom logo appears. Initially nothing happens at all, then the screen will go black, and finally you get the logo. Then let up on the button.

Yeah, I tried soft resets, but nothing happens. I will wait for it to run out of battery and hope for the best. Thank you anyway.

If it doesn't respond when you touch it, there's a problem with your screen.

Yeah, I guess I’m just unlucky. When I get back home, I will try to get it repaired somewhere because, as far as I’ve used it, I was really impressed with the navigation.

Yeah, these old Bridge units are still my favorite TomTom devices. Fast enough and flexible enough code design to allow the user some latitude in the use model, and with good, bright displays. Even replacing the battery is a 2 minute job!

Unlike the consumer versions, Bridge touch screens aren't very common. You'll more likely be able to find a full Bridge device with some other problem from which you can steal the screen.
