Yes. One of the settings works as follows:

Settings / Sound / Alerts & Sounds / Traffic jam ahead

which can be set to

Visual, sound & verbal, or
Visual & sound, or
Visual

Maybe I didn't explain myself well?
It can be as you say Visual, audible and verbal, or
Visual and audio, or Visual for announcing speed cameras or traffic jams, it is in the route bar on the right.
