Rider V1 work with V2?

I am taking my father in law's TT Rider over to UK with me for Scotland driving. Will TT Rider V2 maps work with TT Rider V1? I'd hate to buy it and find out it's not compatible. Thanks for the help.

Oh, Look at that. Tomtom maps is viewing again for me. I swear it was down for a month. So I can buy and download the maps, but one other question. If I download the UK Rider map, can that map also operate of my Tomtom One v3?

Maps are locked to one device when installed. They can't be shared between units, sorry.

Hi there..

As said above, the SD cards are locked to a device using a hidden security feature. You can not use them and please dont try to copy them as it will trigger not and possibly mess up your original maps

Actually, you can copy them. I have always made a second SD card copy of my maps in the event I would somehow lose one. However, like dhn states, it will only work in the original device.
