Rider V1 - Europe Maps Catch 22

Just dusted off my Rider V1 to take it to Europe from the UK. Paid for the WE maps and purchased an 8GB SD card.

So far so good.

Anyway, if you take the GB map out of the Rider to initialise the new card, HOME says "no device".

Vista also will not "see" the 8GB card using windows explorer.

How do I format the card for the new maps or get Vista to see the card?

(Still waiting for TTCS to come back after 3 days.)

Any pointers anyone

I'm not 100% sure, but you might not be able to put a card that size in the Rider (V1 or V2).

The RIDER only supports SD card, not SDHC.

SD cards are speced for a max of 2gb, but there were a few 4gb SD cards a few years back but they're hard to fine.

SDHC cards are the standard now for sizes 4gb and higher, but the Rider won't read them.
