Not enough space on XL 340S

HI all

I recently tried updating my Tom Tom 340S XL only to have it keep crashing. After trying to use Vista's fix disk tools, which didnt work, i reformatted the device.

I have been trying to copy over the USA/Canada map that came with the device, but man, it is taking forever, if it works. I have been getting "not enough space" errors when trying to copy over the files. The device shows that I have 1.5G free, so not sure why the files arent being copied over.

Try removing all voices from the unit. Then try copying the new map. And finallly add back the voices.

Make sure you update to at least app 8.415 or later. Earlier apps had a USB timeout bug that causes corruption when copying large files (like maps).

After 8.415 is loaded, you may want to format again, just so you have a clean install of the future software.
