Memory chip problem

Hi - I have a TomTom One and today I was replacing the memory chip and it won't let it stay in. The device works fine if I physically hold the chip in. Jackie:mad:

The SD card retainer will have broken its not unheard of to be honest, if you can live with some tape over the slot to hold the card in place I would do that as its a cheaper option than a repeair unless the device is still under warranty which I doubt due to when they stopped making One devices with SD card slots - Mike

I've seen this happen in camera's quite often. I've used a piece of folded paper next too the SD card to apply friction so it doesnt come out. Its a little bit prettier then tape, but take care in not cramming butt loads of paper in there as it could make removing the card again difficult...
