How to change the view

The view shows the direction downward or even left to rgiht. I want ht egps to show my car heading forward. Is there a way to change this view as though I'm moving in the same direction as my car.

What model TT do you own?

The 3D view always shows a view with your direction of travel at the top. Does that work for you?

Some models have had a configuration option to set the 2D view that way, or with North up all the time (which I assume is the view that you don't like).

As an example, on my 720, when I select "Change Preferences > Turn on 2D display", I am offered the following options:

3D map
2D map - travel direction at the top (what you want)
2D map - north at the top
