I have recently bought from ebay a 4EN42 Z1230.It says that the maps are 8 years old can these be updated?

Unless I'm mistaken, the 4EN42 Z1230 should be a Start 42.
Create a TomTom account, then download MyDrive Connect to your computer.
Check if an update is available.
