GO Navigation / GO Expert – Android
Hello,

I am experiencing a routing and traffic problem with TomTom GO Expert for Android after performing a factory reset on my Android tablet and reinstalling the app.

App version: GO Expert 3.6.324 (5340)
Navigation SDK: 16.99.1+26.2.2
Navigation Application: api34.23.4-DEV
Map: 41770

Before the factory reset, Online Routes and Traffic worked correctly.

After reinstalling the app, I noticed the following:

Online Routes ON:
TomTom immediately calculates an unnecessary detour/loop near Horcajada de la Torre, Spain, leaving the N-400 and then returning to the same road, even though the road is open.

Online Routes OFF:
The same route is calculated correctly and stays on the N-400 without the unnecessary detour.

I also noticed that live Traffic information is sometimes delayed or incorrect compared with the actual road conditions.

I have already checked the following:

  • Mobile data is working normally.
  • Data limit is disabled.
  • Data Saver is disabled.
  • TomTom has permission to use location all the time.
  • TomTom has background data permission.
  • I cleared the TomTom app cache, but the problem remains.

The incorrect detour can be reproduced at the same location every time when Online Routes are enabled.

I have attached screenshots showing the same route with Online Routes OFF and ON.

Could you please check whether there is a problem with the Online Routing/Traffic data or server-side routing for this location?

Thank you
